Feeling stuck, angry, or disconnected?
You're not alone.
Most men wait years before reaching out for support — often only when things reach a breaking point. This page is for anyone who's ready to start that conversation.
Whether it's your relationship, your job, your temper, or just a feeling that something's off, counselling can help you figure out what's actually going on and what to do about it.
Does this sound like you?
- You're constantly on edge, or you snap at people you don't mean to
- You're going through the motions at work but feel empty or checked out
- Your marriage or relationship feels distant, tense, or like it's drifting
- You're drinking more than you'd like to admit
- Your mind races at night and sleep doesn't come easy
- You feel isolated — like there's no one you can actually talk to about this
If even one of these hits close to home, that's a reasonable place to start.
What I help men work through
Marriage and relationships
When communication breaks down or you feel like roommates instead of partners, it's easy to either shut down or blow up. We work on what's actually driving the distance — and what to do differently, together or on your own.
Burnout and career stress
Feeling stuck, undervalued, or like you're running on empty at work doesn't mean something's wrong with you — it usually means something needs to change. We'll figure out what that is.
Anger and irritability
Short fuse, constant tension, snapping at people you love — anger is often a signal, not the real problem. We get underneath it and analyze what the emotion is driving us to do- move, take action, or satisfy a need.
Alcohol and coping habits
If you've noticed you're leaning on a drink (or three) to get through the evening, that's worth a closer look — no judgment, just an honest conversation.
Fatherhood
Trying to be present for your kids while carrying everything else can feel like too much. We work on what "showing up" actually looks like for you.
Isolation
Adult male friendships often thin out over the years. Feeling alone — even in a full house — is more common than most men admit. It's also something that can change.
Mid-life crisis
Navigating mid-life can lead to questions about identity and expectations. Being pulled in multiple directions and wearing numerous "hats" can be exhausting and overwhelming. Together, we can explore what really matters to you, set goals, and find encouragement.
What therapy actually looks like
If you've never done this before, here's the honest version: it's not lying on a couch talking about your childhood for an hour. Most sessions are direct, practical, and focused on what's happening in your life right now.
- First session: we talk through what's going on and what you want to be different
- Ongoing sessions: structured conversations aimed at real, specific change — not just "processing feelings" indefinitely
- Pace: you set it. Some men come weekly for a few months, others check in periodically during a hard stretch
Privacy
What you share stays between us. Sessions are confidential, and online sessions are available if coming into an office isn't practical or comfortable right now.
Ready to talk?
You don't have to have it all figured out before reaching out. A first conversation doesn't commit you to anything beyond that conversation. I offer free 15 minute consultation calls so you can decide if you want to continue.
